Buscot Park is off the A420, between Oxford and Swindon. Built in the 1780's the Park was bought in 1889 by the first Lord Faringdon and was given to the National Trust by his grandson in the 1940's, with a leaseback to the family of the house and grounds. The result is that the Park's trustees have been improving and maintaining the important Faringdon Collection, as well as caring for the house and contents.

We will have a tour of the house and contents at 3.15 (meet at the front steps) after we have had a chance to look at the gardens which open at 2pm. Picnics can be enjoyed from 1pm in the picnic area below the Walled Garden and there are several pubs nearby including The Lamb at Buckland, The Plough at Kelmscott and several places in Faringdon itself.
